Brooklyn is big enough to be its own city, and it spent a hundred years being annoyed that it isn't. It has the best park in New York, the best Caribbean food outside the islands, a dance floor that doesn't empty until sunrise, and a beach at the end of the train.

Best munchies in Brooklyn
Nostrand Ave for patties in coco bread and doubles. Knickerbocker for tacos and steam tables. Manhattan Ave for kielbasa and pierogi. Then the pizza pilgrimage: Di Fara in Midwood, L&B Spumoni Gardens in Gravesend, and Lucali in Carroll Gardens if you can stand the wait. Atlantic Ave has Sahadi's for an afternoon in the nuts aisle. More in NYC munchies.
Things to do in Brooklyn high
Do the Brooklyn Museum and the Botanic Garden back to back. Walk the Bushwick Collective in daylight, when you can read the walls. Green-Wood Cemetery has hills, old stone and one of the best quiet walks in the borough, so keep it respectful. Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Promenade in Brooklyn Heights are for staring at Manhattan, which looks better from here anyway. The citywide list is in things to do high in NYC, and the good lookouts are in best views in NYC.
Movies in Brooklyn
Nitehawk has Williamsburg and Prospect Park, both with food at your seat. Alamo has Downtown Brooklyn. BAM Rose runs indie and repertory out of a building worth the trip. Syndicated in Bushwick is the bar up front, screen in back. Compare them in movie theaters for stoners.
Where you can sesh in Brooklyn
Prospect Park, the waterfront parks and Coney Island's beach and boardwalk are smoke-free. Sesh at home, then go. The plain-English version is in where you can sesh in NYC.
