Privacy

Short version: we don't track you, and the only personal info we get is an email address you choose to give us.

No cookies, no tracking

Stoner NY sets no cookies. There are no analytics scripts, no ad networks, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting and no third-party embeds. Fonts and images are hosted on this site, so loading a page doesn't ping anyone else.

The email list

If you join the list, we store your email address, the page you signed up from, the signup date and a rough location based on your connection (city, region and country). We use that to send you email about Stoner NY and related New York guides. We don't sell it. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you're off the list when you click it. The list is for adults 21 and over.

The signup form sends your address to our own list service at list.momentikmedia.com. If you close the popup, your browser remembers that for a week so it stops asking, and that note stays on your device. It's not a cookie and it isn't sent anywhere.

No accounts

There are no accounts, no comments and no contact form. The "what should I do tonight" picker and "today's NYC move" run entirely in your browser. Your choices there are never sent anywhere and nothing is saved.

Server logs

Like any website, the hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (things like IP address and requested page) for security and keeping the site running. We don't use those logs to profile anyone, and we don't sell them.

Links

Pages here link to other pages on this site. If a guide ever mentions an outside source, like the state's cannabis license lookup, that site has its own privacy policy.

Changes

If this ever changes, this page will change first, in plain English.
